Seeking creators who are passionate about skincare

Updated: Nov 8, 2020

As you may know from my previous posts, I revel in having a bathroom akin to a shopping mall experience...however what I have discovered has really propelled me to go in a different direction. Share your journey with me and I will gift 100 of you a self-care Care package.

Does your bathroom look anything like this? C'mon you can tell me...

You may have already found yourself in this specific case, having 4 or 5 day creams, 3 to 4 Face cleaners or 12 styling products from different brand without it bothering you! is that a problem?

In addition, it takes up a lot of space in your bathroom. In my case, I couldn't stop myself from buying a new face mask, a new lotion each time I went to a super market or while surfing through the net. I confess I more than often choose a new cream just because the packaging is pretty. And in all of this, not forgetting that we also have our aesthetic preferences among this panel of products that we display very nicely as a decorative wall of pretty packaging... Ironically, in my case at least, many of these pretty bottles and jars stay half full until one day it ends up in the garbage bin. Not so attractive !!!

Frankly, It took me a long time to be able to change my habits, but I did it and I congratulated myself. Very recently I have become aware of and am trying to strike a balance between my needs and my desires vs. what my skin type requires.

I try to vary between traditional natural homemade care and some amazing products on the market. I believe this remains the least aggressive solution to caring for the well-being and health of my skin--with Nature in mind, but Science as well!

So my friends if you are getting fed up with the clutter in your bathroom, and perhaps tired of wasting your money (while addicted to spending half your time buying useless and cumbersome products). Small advice, first learn to know the typology and the needs of your skin. Here's a quick skin type 101 check, in a blog written by my dear friend Desiree Reid, Co-Founding CEO and Ex-Marketing Director of IMAN Cosmetics for 25 years.

To start, you can already adopt a beauty routine with a list of products that are suitable for you.

In my recent article, I told you about the benefits of oils on the skin.

Today I'm going to share with you a little mango mask routine, which is, worry not, great for all skin types.

Did you know that: mango is a very good antioxidant that contains vitamin A, beta carotene and vitamin C. It helps reduce dark spots caused by acne, rejuvenated and keeps your skin healthy and glowing .

Little beauty tip for fans of homemade treatments. (Pssst --- If you are passionate about sharing yours, make sure to tell me in the quick form below and we could feature your words and videos!)

My mango mask for luminous skin:

  • Take a ripe mango, 1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil, 1 tablespoon of milk.

  • Mix everything and apply on the face for 15 to 20 minutes.

  • Rinse off with lukewarm water

  • And then gently dry your face with a reusable fiber cotton if possible. Then apply rose water.

There you go !!!

And you - have you ever tried natural masks?
